A focus and habit app built around consistency over perfection. No streaks to break, no penalties, no guilt — just steady progress through the periodic table.
ElementShift is built around a simple idea: small, consistent actions add up to real change over time. You earn points by doing things that are already good for you — focusing, completing tasks, checking in, and learning. Those points move you through eight tiers named after chemical elements, from Hydrogen at the start to Einsteinium at the top.
There's a daily cap of 100 points, which keeps things balanced and means every day you show up, you make progress. No single session ever feels wasted. The app is designed with ADHD in mind — minimal friction, no guilt mechanics, and a reward system that grows with you.
Es is the chemical symbol for Einsteinium, the initials of the app, and the mark you're working toward.
Nothing. There are no streaks in ElementShift and no penalties for missing days. Your accumulated points never decrease. When you come back, you pick up exactly where you left off.
The cap keeps the system balanced — it means you can't grind your way to the top in a weekend. It also means every day you show up is a full and meaningful day of progress, regardless of how many tasks you complete.
Choose a session preset (Quick, Classic, Deep, or Custom), then tap Start. When the focus period ends, the break begins automatically. A sound marks each transition. Completing the full focus + break cycle earns 5 points. The timer continues running if you switch apps or lock your phone.
All your data — tasks, mood entries, focus history, and check-in records — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers or shared with third parties. Your credentials are stored in the system Keychain.
The Retro theme unlocks at the Sodium tier (500 points) and The Grid unlocks at the Titanium tier (2,000 points). Once unlocked, you can switch between themes at any time in Settings. Each theme is a complete visual redesign of the app.
Yes — Trivia Mode is something we're actively working on. The idea is to give you something genuinely engaging to do during your break periods, as a replacement for doom scrolling. Stay tuned.

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
